Burak Oguz Saguner was born in Australia in 1980 and raised in Istanbul Turkey, where he studied cinema. Returning to Australia in 2003 to further his film studies, Burak graduated from North Sydney Film and Television School in 2004.
He has since worked as a cinematographer on many productions including short and independent feature films: Last Caress (2011 WorldKids International Film Festival), One More Tonight (2010 St. Kilda Film Festival, 2010 Bosnian - Herzegovinian Film Festival - New York), The First Concert (2009 New York International Independent Film Festival, 2009 Istanbul International Short Film Festival, 2010 Toronto WildSound Film Festival, 2010 Lucas Directors Circle Festival of Shorts), Triptych, and The Death and Life of John Vaughan; documentaries: Closure, St Kilda Park Saints, Gallipoli in Oceania; and the music video "Jungle Blues" for C.W. Stoneking.
